NEW ! Students in Creative Movement, Magical Kingdom, Pre-ballet and level 1 will receive a tote with accessories that are tailored to their individual classes. These will be free of charge. The items will be kept at the studio to be available for each student and will not be shared with others during this time as we deal with covid 19. This will help kids to continue enjoying the unique activities of their class level.
Students who attend class virtually may pick up a tote to use at home. Classes available to take virtually are listed under "Classes" and are indicated as (also virtual )

***Studio Procedures for Covid19***
Our covid 19 procedures in place to keep our dancers, faculty and families safe & healthy.
***Studio is being professionally sanitized with Smart Coating which neutralizes viruses on contact for up to 90 days. This includes ballet barres, doors, bathrooms, light switches, Magical Kingdom Mats, chairs, hand rails, etc. Additional cleaning will be implemented as well.
We have added Hathaspace HSP002 Smart True HEPA air purifiers with medical grade air filters in our 3 studios and upstairs waiting area. Each unit replaces 100% of the air every hour. The H13 Medical Grade HEPA removes 99%of particles down to 0.1 microns. ***
- Class sizes will be limited to allow for social distancing.
-Studio rooms have been measured & marked to allow 6 ft or more around each dancer at all times
- Temperatures will be taken upon entering the studio
-Teachers, Students & Parents will be required to wear protective masks while inside the building.
-Students must wash hands upon entering the studio. Hand sanitizer will be provided for the younger students who may require help with washing hands.
- Students will only be allowed to be dropped off & picked up at designated areas. Parents will not be allowed to wait inside

*Downstairs classes will enter/ exit through the back door( Remember: DO NOT PARK BEHIND STUDIO). Upstairs classes will enter/exit through the front door that leads to the staircase*
-Personal Totes are provided with individualized props-
-Anyone who has traveled to a hot spot will not be allowed to return to the studio for two weeks
-Sick children MUST STAY HOME
-Most Makeups will need to be done virtually in order to limit class sizes ( See specifics below )
-Virtual classes will continue for those who do not feel comfortable re-entering the studio

In studio classes have returned as of June 1st 2020. In light of the pandemic that is occurring in our nation right now, Select classes will be offered virtually. These classes are indicated on our Fall 2020-2021 schedule shown as Also Virtual under "classes" page. Virtual classes are conducted LIVE with your normal instructor. Clients will login at their usual class time to have their class with their normal instructor. We encourage families to join in the fun with our younger dancers!
Again this is only temporary, we hope to see you all back in the studio soon.

To attend your virtual class, you can go to Zoom.com to use on computer or to use on phone, download the Free Zoom Cloud Meeting app compatible with both Android & Apple phones.
No account or login is needed. You will click Join Meeting and enter the MeetingID # that will be sent to you via remind text.
Once you have joined the meeting, you will need to allow permission to access audio to hear instructor.

How can I makeup a class ?
* Classes that have been missed due to inclement weather or other circumstances may be made up at your convenience.
Please call 816-224-5505 and leave a message with the date and time you plan on attending. During covid make up in person is allowed for Creative Movement, Pre-ballet and Magical Kingdom. Level 2 may make up in person Thursday or Saturday. Level 1 will need to make up virtually on Monday or Saturday. Level 3 may be made up in person on Tuesday. All other classes need to be made up virtually as well due to covid limitations. See Fall class schedule for Virtual Class time options. Always call 816-224-5505 when needing an in person makeup class. Leave a message with the class level and date you plan on bringing your child. Then bring your child to class.
You will not receive a call back from us unless we need to change the date of your requested makeup. See Class schedule for Drop off proceedure. Studio A drop off and pick up at back door (do not park behind studio so as not to be towed) Studio C drop off and pick up at front right door.

Parking For The Nutcracker is available at 1600 S Withers Rd -The Theatre entrance is in the Liberty Parks & Rec Community Center. Also at Liberty Middle School 1500 S. Withers Rd and 1115 Blackberry Dr. Parking Lots are adjacent to the Liberty Performing Arts Theatre.
Do not park directly behind the studio as it is owned by B & G Leasing and they may tow your vehicle.
Public parking is available on M ain St. in front of the studio.
Additional parking is available at 12th & Main St. and 11th & Main St.
2020 Congratulations to Grace Carpenter ( Dance Theatre of Harlem ), Elizabeth Nelson ( Missouri Contemporary Ballet ), Kyley Shackles ( Missouri Contemporary Ballet) , Jordyn Taylor ( Webster University Dance ) and Kate Gerding ( Missouri Contemporary Ballet ) who were awarded scholarships by Friends of Blue Springs Ballet to attend their choice of programs. Our non profit Friends of Blue Springs Ballet awarded scholarships to Blue Springs Ballet Company members Grace Carpenter, Elizabeth Nelson, Rebekah Bean, Olivia Ellett, Hannah Brown, Leah Lawatsch, Kaycie Bickel, Kate Gerding, Emily Myers, Jordyn Taylor, Mailee Ransom, Shayla Wohlford and Anna Gilbert to attend the Blue Springs Ballet Intensive. $4600 were awarded in scholarships. Friends of Blue Springs Ballet also subsidized additional intermediate and advanced students for the Intensive.
2020 Congratulations to Grace Carpenter, Elizabeth Nelson, Kyley Shackles, Kate Gerding , Emily Myers and Jordyn Taylor who auditioned and were accepted to Summer Dance Programs across the country. Grace Carpenter was accepted to Dance Theatre of Harlvem, Joffrey Texas on scholarship, Nashville Ballet, Peridance Capezio Center, N. Y . and Missouri Contemporary Ballet. Elizabeth Nelson , Kyley Shackles and Kate Gerding were accepted to Missouri Contemporary Ballet. Emily Myers was accepted to Nashville Ballet and Jordyn Taylor to Webster University Dance Intensive.
2019 Congratulations to Elizabeth Nelson, Grace Carpenter, Hannah Brown, Addison Collins, Leah Lawatsch and Kyley Shackles who received $8,400 in scholarships to attend Summer Dance Programs. The scholarships were provided by our non profit Friends of Blue Springs Ballet.
2019 Congratulations to all dancers attending summer programs ! Elizabeth Nelson is attending Joffrey Ballet on full tuition scholarship. Grace Carpenter and Hannah Brown will attend Rock School of Pennysylvania. Addison Collins will attend Nashville Ballet. Leah Lawatsch will attend Missouri Contemporary Ballet. Kyley Shackles will attend Lawrence Ballet / KU Intensive. The dancers were chosen to attend after auditioning for their specific programs.

2018 Congratulations to Celia Allen, Rebekah Bean, Grace Carpenter, Rebekah Lawatsch , Elizabeth Nelson and Hannah Brown who auditioned and were accepted to the International Ballet Workshop at the 2018 USA IBC. Celia Allen was also accepted to Fort Wayne Ballet and offered a scholarship. Grace Carpenter and Hannah Brown were accepted to University of Indiana Dance Program. Addison Collins and Hannah McHenry were accepted to Missouri Contemporary Ballet Summer Program. Elizabeth Nelson was one of two students chosen at the International Ballet School for a full scholarship to attend Joffrey Ballet in 2019.

Elizabeth Nelson, Rebekah Lawatsch, Grace Carpenter and Rebekah Bean were accepted by Kansas City Ballet. Rebekah Bean was also offered a scholarship from Kansas City Ballet. Grace Carpenter and Elizabeth Nelson were accepted by Missouri Contemporary Ballet.

Adison Richardson was accepted by Austin Ballet. Victoria Law was accepted by Atlanta Ballet. Celia Allen was accepted by ABT ( American Ballet Theatre ) , Atlanta Ballet and Tulsa Ballet. Rebekah Lawatsch , Rebekah Bean and Grace Carpenter were accepted by Tulsa Ballet. Rebekah Bean was also offered a scholarship.
2015 Congratulations to CheyAnn Kimbrough, Adison Richardson, Samantha Schmitz and Delaney Wright. They were all awarded scholarships by our non-profit organization Friends of the Blue Springs Ballet to attend Missouri Contemporary Ballet and Storling Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive workshops.
2015 Congratulations to Ali Isaacks ! She was accepted to Missouri State University as a Dance Major. Only 20% of the students who audition are accepted into the program. She will also major in graphic design. Congratulations to Torri Hicks, Adison Richardson and Delaney Wright who were all accepted to Fort Wayne Ballet's Summer Intensive. Adison Richardson also received a scholarship offer from Fort Wayne Ballet. CheyAnn Kimbrough, Delaney Wright, and Adison Richardson were accepted into Missouri Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive. Adison Richardson also received a partial scholarship. CheyAnn, Delaney and Adison plan to attend the Missouri Contemporary Ballet program.
2014 Congratulations to Rebecca Adams, Ali Isaacks, Christina Luca, Natalie Pace, Adison Richardson, Olivia West and Delaney Wright . They were awarded a total of $5500 in scholarships to attend The 2014 International Ballet Workshop in Jackson Mississippi. These Scholarships were awarded by our non-profit organization Friends of Blue Springs Ballet.
2014 Congratulations to Kelly Jameson for being accepted into the University of Nebraska's Dance Program. She was offered a renewable scholarship of $2000. She was also accepted on their Dance Team. Congratulations to Adison Richardson for being offered a scholarship to attend Fort Wayne Ballet's Summer Dance Intensive. She was also accepted to attend Kansas City Ballet's Summer Program.
2013 Nine Blue Springs Ballet Company members were awarded scholarships to Ballet Intensive Workshops. Rebecca Adams, Sarah Grumke, Torri Hicks , Ali Isaacks, Kayla Munze, Natalie Pace, Adison Richardson, Olivia West and Delaney Wright were awarded scholarships by Friends of Blue Springs Ballet our non-profit organization.
2013 Congratulations to Ali Isaacks for getting accepted to American Ballet Theater's Summer Dance Intensive and Orlando Ballet's Summer Intensive where she was also offered a scholarship to attend. She plans to attend Orlando Ballet's Summer Intensive. Congratulations to Kayla Munze for getting accepted into UMKC's Dance program. Kayla is also on UMKC's Competitive Dance Team. She was also accepted to Orlando Ballet's Summer Intensive. Michelle Pace is on the Avila University Competitive Dance Team.
2012 Congratulations to Ali Isaacks, Kelly Jameson and Michelle Pace for getting accepted into Joffrey Ballet’s Summer Intensives and Trainee Programs! The girls auditioned and were accepted to the following elite programs across the United States: LA Joffrey, Joffrey New York Ballet Intensive and Performance, New York Young Dancer Program, New York Pre-Professional and Professional Program, Joffrey South Georgia, Jr. Trainee and Advanced Trainee, Joffrey Ballet & Bolshoi Foreign Exchange and Joffrey Year Round Trainee Program.
2011 Congratulations to Natalie Upton! She was accepted to UMKC's Dance Program. She has been offered a $3,500.00 per year scholarship renewable for five years. Natalie has studied ballet with Blue Springs Ballet for 14 years. She was a member of Blue Springs Ballet Company for 5 years.
